Double Trip(le)in

Last spring, while returning from Utah, I took a detour into Omaha, NE to shoot some graff. The only camera I had with me was my trusty Canon A-1 with some Kodak gold 200 film. I found a few things worthy of shooting, including a grain silo encrusted in roller pieces, and a reefer car with some sick unortho styles on it. When I got back east, the roll of film disappeared into a dark part of my car, only to become partially unwound and resurface in October. Thinking it to be a new roll of film, I loaded it back into the A-1 and shot half a roll of singles then finished off the roll with some double exposures. When I got the film back, I was blown away to have located the missing roll of film, as well as have created some downright wild exposures. Although I don't have a clear favorite from the lot, I can't help but love the framing of the last shot.

None of these images have undergone any post-production, enjoy!

Don't Sleep

This was a very improbable shot. I was posted up at a new spot I’d never been to before and was waiting for over an hour before I decided it was time to pack up. I heard the train horn blast as I was about halfway down the tower. Allowing myself no other options, I scrambled back to the top and began shooting through the chain links of a fence. The train came bombing into the yard so fast I didn’t have a hope of catching any good flicks. I was about to put the camera down when I saw this roll under the bridge. With no time for hesitation, I lined the fence up to frame the shot, focused and shot this photo. It’s too bad that I had such a poorly-planned vantage point because the very next car has a poppin’ hindue/ghouls number- barely visible on the left of the shot.

Benching freight moving weight.

I've found myself spending lots of time at the local lay-up as of late. I did this all the time out in Utah but had neither a good angle on the tracks nor a digital camera. Waiting aweek or so for just any roll of film isn't a big deal, but with freights it's nice to see, edit, and post up the pictures right after you're shooting them. Trains keep rolling and therefore so should I, without further ado- Here's the cream of the recent crop:
